I’ve gotta bone to pick. 3 O’Clock Things might be my favorite AJR song, and I love, love, love the music video. That being said, many outfit recreations were wrong; the most notable being Adam’s Bummerland outfit from the bike scene (especially because it was recreated from a recent music video). The original, as pictured in the first photo, is the RSVLTS Cape Cod set from the Beach Towns Collection. However, in the 3 O’Clock Things video, Adam is wearing the Nantucket set (featured in a different scene in the Bummerland video). What I find fascinating is that there are two official merch shirts that feature the Bummerland outfits, but one has Adam in the Cape Cod Set (bike shirt) and one has him in the Nantucket set (tour date shirt). My working theory was that the shirt
was lent to Ryan for the 2020 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (pictured), and then Adam couldn’t find it when shooting the 3 O’Clock Things video. Contrarily, with Ryan, the buttons down the front seem to land on a pink stripe, not a navy one like in Bummerland video, but this could be due to lack of resolution in the Bummerland video. It’s also entirely possible that Adam thought he wore the Nantucket set during the bike scene, and when he got to location for the shoot, it was too late to change. Barring the Macy’s Parade, neither the Cape Cod shorts nor shirt are seen outside of the Bummerland video, and I just want to know what happened to them.

I recommend watching sites like eBay and Poshmark. Neither of these items are particularly common. “RSVLTS Cape Cod” and “RSVLTS Striped Shirt” are good searches to start with. You can even just search “RSVLTS,” since there are not a lot of listings for this brand anyway.
